Yes... We are all Yaoi Addicts! We Love Yaoi! We've reached the point where we NEED Yaoi!!
Most of us can probably not imagine ourselves giving up on it!!!
Now, the point of this thread is that we all have our favorite kinds of Yaoi. They are similar, but also different from one anothers.
They can differ from certain types of pairings
The rating/how far the character go [Content] Soft, Mature, or Hard,
What it involves exactly [Categories] Age Gap, Childhood Friends, or Bondage
But… Some if not all of us have that line we dare not cross. The plot isn't what is the matter with the Yaoi...
Do you have that line of which you don't dare cross with Yaoi?
What is it about the Yaoi exactly that makes you not want to read or watch it?
Personally... I've been around Yaoi for so long and mainly judge it by its plot. I've explored a lot of categories and will stay away from certain Yaoi involving characters I don't like or wouldn't pair up. I’d say there is about 15% of Yaoi I will not touch because of what the story involves.
I’ve read a few Yaoi involving Incest, but not a lot because it was easy to look past and it wasn’t graphically disturbing. The Yaoi was mostly not even Incest, really just Step-brothers.
Usually grpahically disturbing imagery involves Rape and that isn’t something I want to read. Rape isn't Love!
Also, not big on reading Shotacon. Don’t want to see little boys having sex with other little boys or adults.
I’m against PedoBears and can’t stand that at all. It is not my cup of tea...
There are a few more, but can’t exactly remember right now.
It is mainly these three: Incest, Rape, and Shotacon that are the main criteria for Yaoi that cross my line…
I dare not cross my line because there is better Yaoi for me that stays far behind that line that is far more entertaining
